I run Voltage PC Repairs out of my home workshop in Mowbray โ no franchise, no corporate overhead, just straightforward repairs done properly.
If your computer isn't worth repairing, I'll tell you. Technology can be confusing enough without unnecessary jargon, so I explain things in plain language and won't recommend upgrades you don't actually need.
I take pride in problem-solving and tackle the complex issues that larger repair shops typically decline. Rather than rushing jobs, I give you personalised, one-on-one attention in my home workshop โ treating every PC like it's my own.
Custom-built PCs, hardware upgrades, virus removal, troubleshooting, complete repairs, networking, and advanced technical problem-solving โ including Linux and home server setups other shops won't touch.
Privacy isn't just a service I offer (see Privacy Consultation and GrapheneOS Installation on Pricing) โ it's how I run things myself. I host my own files, backups, and services on a home server rather than handing everything to a subscription and a stranger's data centre, and I keep data collection to what a job actually needs.

While backing up my dad's old CDs I found an email he wrote in December 2004. He was going back to TAFE for two years, and he mentioned that if he passed, he wanted to set up his own business from home: PC repairs and building, TV and video installation, and servicing. He never got the chance.
Twenty-two years later, I'm doing exactly that. Voltage PC Repairs carries forward the idea he started thinking about all those years ago.
โIf I pass, and I don't see why I won't, I should be able to set up my own business from home: PC repair and construction, TV and video installation, servicing. Can do most of it already, just don't have the certificate to say I'm qualified to do it.โ โ Steve, 22 December 2004
